Laurentian Students “Battle with Airbandz” This event consists of Laurentian University residence students gathering together to partake in performing as their favourite musical artists or group. This is a  judged “lip sync” competition and groups have been motivated in being creative with their overall performance.  With the concert style crowd, the performers  feed off of the high energy of a packed house.
" Tug of War " for Cancer this event sponsored by  POWERTEL  took place Saturday, September 8, 2007.  This year's  "tug of war" raised an amazing $16,358 for the Northern Cancer Research Foundation's Breast Cancer Research Fund. The idea of a "tug of war" came about after Sandi Gorman, a member of the Ladies Walden Slo Pitch was diagnosed with breast cancer. Last year Sandi watch from the side lines, but not this time, this time she enjoyed playing the field. The "tug of war" was introduced last year and has since become a big part of the tournament.
