The Garden of Hope was deisgned by Ron Beltrame to recognize the contributions made to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation. The symbolic representation of accumulated support is engraved with the donor's wishes, in memory of a loved one, or in recognition of a special event in the lives of northeastern Ontario families. The funds represented by this Garden saty here in the north to keep the Regional Cancer Program on the cutting edge of cancer research while providing more effective treatments and an enhanced quality of life for cancer patients. Just as these research and progressive patient care programs represent hope in the ongoing battle against cancer, so does our Garden represent the gifts of hope... |
