Marise's Story

Marise Barsalou learned her mother was given
10 days to live.

She will never forget the night her mother was suddenly taken to the hospital - fearing it was something bad. Later, she learned her mother was diagnosed with cancer.

It taught me a lesson that I will never forget - Love to the last minute of your life, because you never know when that last minute will come.

Today, with her mother in remission, she gratefully canvasses with her schoolmates because she believes donations provide families like hers hope for the future.

Thanks to the students of Collège Notre-Dame, NCF has recieved over $600,000 in community donations since 1987 in support of Children’s Programs and Research. We salute their leadership and continued dedication.

The Northern Cancer Foundation [NCF] raises needed funds in support of the Northeast Cancer Center which provides leading-edge cancer research and progressive patient care here in the North. Our much needed funds are generously donated by people just like you through personal giving, In Memoriams and the fundraising efforts of many northern volunteer organizations. Through your donations, NCF helps fund the purchase of vital equipment for research and the expansion of patient services throughout the North. Every donation NCF receives stays here in the North to benefit the people of the North.
