Rally for Dad

Saturday, June 15, 2013 – Northeast Cancer Center (NECC)
This annual event was launched in June of 2001 to lend awareness to, and raise funds for local prostate cancer research.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among Canadian men. On average, one in six men will be affected by it. Many more will die from it. The goal of the new Rally for Dad is to educate people on how to combat the disease as well as to raise money to fund local prostate cancer research conducted at the Northeast Cancer Center in Sudbury.
This pledge-driven event was spearheaded by the Blue Knights Ontario X, and has enjoyed a successful history of comraderie and support for the Cancer Centre. Since 2001, the Rally for Dad has raised over $310,000 for local prostate cancer research.
The event continues to grow each year with the help of the Captain's Club program, recognizing and honouring riders that participate year after year. Accumulated pledges distinguish the club levels, beginning from $1,500 to $40,000.
All proceeds from this event go to the Northern Cancer Foundation (NCF) in support of local prostate cancer research at the Northeast Cancer Center in Sudbury.
